Isn't it time to put your feet up now? Heavily pregnant Stacey Solomon looks tired on night out

By Kimberley Dadds

Glamorous mum-to-be: Stacey Solomon showed off her bump as she attended the Tatiana Hair Extensions store launch party in London

She looked glamorous enough, but her flawless make-up couldn't hide the tiredness around Stacey Solomon's eyes.

The former X Factor contestant, 22, has only got about six weeks to go before she's due to give birth to her second child.

But as a mother of one to son Zachary, four, the singer turned TV presenter, she's probably still quite run off her feet.

Blue-ming: The singer got her own hair extensions from the salon earlier this month and debuted the look on her night out

However, no one could blame her for making the most of her time before she's knee deep in nappies again.

The former X Factor star was on hand to celebrate the launch party for Tatiana Hair Extensions' new store in London last night.

And she took the opportunity to show off her bump in a floor-length navy blue frock with a beige stripe below her bust.

Stacey matched the dress with a pair of beige Terry De Havilland snakeskin wedges, while she gave it a splash of colour with red painted toes and a splash of scarlet lipstick.

And she also made the most of the sunny weather in the city by making it a summery get-up with sunglasses on her head.

She was obviously excited about going out for the evening, as she wrote on Twitter earlier in the day: 'Excited about @TatianaHairExts launch today !! Xxx.'

Stacey showed her fashion sense as she posed for the cameras by completing the outfit with a matching beige leather bag.

The singer opened up earlier this month about how she wants to look her 'very best' ready for the impending arrival.

To start her beauty regime the expectant mother visited Tatiana Hair Extensions to undergo a transformation with long blonde locks.

And it ensured she was a guest of honour at their party, where she showed off the new look as she wore her hair down and poker straight as she posed with the owner, Tatiana Karelina.

Making the most of it: Stacey, who is almost eight months pregnant, enjoyed a night out ahead of the impending birth

Speaking about her new look, the 22-year-old said: 'With the birth of my baby fast approaching, I wanted a new look ready for spring.

'I have decided to go with some flashes of honey blended into my natural hair colour for a fresh finish similar to Jennifer Aniston.

'I want to look my very best at the birth! I love the way the hair colour makes me look slightly suntanned as well.'

And her appearance was a hit with owner Tatiana, who wrote on Twitter this morning: '@Denisepdavies so blessed to have such amazing friends around! Thank you so much sweetie! You and @5taceySolomon made the party!! Xx.'

Stacey replied: '@TatianaHairExts my pleasure had a great time and got a great big bag of pick-a-mix me and bump were very happy hahaha!!! Xxxx.'

'I want to look my very best for the birth': Stacey Solomon puts smoking furore aside as she enjoys a bit of pampering

By Emily Sheridan

Stacey Solomon has had a difficult two weeks after she was barraged with criticism over her controversial decision to smoke while pregnant.

And after keeping a low-profile since the furore, the reality star has ventured out and about for a spot of pre-baby pampering.

The X Factor 2009 finalist, 22, enjoyed a bit of 'me time' as she decided to get some blonde hair extensions.

Smiling again: Stacey Solomon shows off her new hair extensions as he leaves the Tatiana salon in Kensington, West London

With just under eight weeks to go before she is due to give birth to her second child, Solomon has been counting down the days.

Popping into Tatiana Hair Extensions Salon yesterday, Solomon said she wanted to look like Jennifer Aniston.

She said: 'With the birth of my baby fast approaching, I wanted a new look ready for spring. I have decided to go with some flashes of honey blended into my natural hair colour for a fresh finish similar to Jennifer Aniston.

'I want to look my very best at the birth! I love the way the hair colour makes me look slightly suntanned as well.'

When she left the salon a few hours later, Solomon looked thrilled with her caramel locks.

Solomon was back with a smile on her face following a tearful appearance on This Morning earlier this month.

In need of a pick me up: Solomon has been heavily criticised in recent weeks for smoking while pregnant

She broke down as she revealed her guilt at continuing to smoke while pregnant.

Although she has cut down from her 10 a day, Solomon is struggling to quit altogether.

She said on This Morning: 'At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right. All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up. I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it's incomprehensible.

Lighten up: Solomon said she was going for a Jennifer Aniston look

'As soon as you get pregnant, you think you need so stop. I did smoke between 5 and 10 a day, but I completely cut down and from there on I have been trying to stop.

'I'm smoking] between 1 and 3 a day, if that... I just thought I would be able to quit. And some days I've done really, really well and had none but there are some days when I have had some. I'm doing my best to just go without, but sometimes it's not just as easy to cut it out.'

Following the backlash, Solomon was also removed from the shortlist for the Foxy Bingo Celebrity Mum of the Year campaign.

'Nothing I can say will make it right,' says a tearful Stacey Solomon as she admits she's STILL smoking up to three cigarettes a day

By Sarah Bull

She's found herself at the centre of a huge amount of controversy since photographs first emerged of her smoking while pregnant.

But Stacey Solomon today showed that the stress of the scandal is taking its toll, as she was reduced to tears during an interview on This Morning.

Stacey was talking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the show about her actions and struggled to control her emotions as she admitting indulging in her habit while seven months along with her second child is a 'selfish' thing to do.

Emotional: Stacey Solomon was reduced to tears during an interview on This Morning when she spoke about pictures of her smoking which emerged over the weekend

Asked by Holly if she had considered the harmful effects smoking might have on her baby, Stacey replied: 'At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right.
All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up. I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it's uncomprehendable.

'I understand that it's a selfish thing to do, so I don't think the comments are unjustified, although I do thing some are a bit harsh.'

Stacey also insisted that she has '100 per cent cut down' from the amount of cigarettes she smoked before she fell pregnant.

She added: 'As soon as you get pregnant, you think you need so stop.

Stacey was also asked how she felt about being cut out of the Foxy Bingo Celebrity Mum of the Year campaign.

She said: 'I feel that they have to set a good example so it's absolutely their decision and I have to accept it because at the end of the day they can't be seen to support that.'

Phillip and Holly also asked Stacey, who has a four-year-old son Zachary from a previous relationship, how her fiancé Aaron Barnham feels about her smoking while pregnant.

Struggling: The singer appeared to be finding it difficult to control her emotions during the interview

'Did you not think of the harmful effects smoking would have on your baby?' Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield asked the questions people wanted answering

Stacey replied: 'Aaron is not happy with it but at the same time he's supportive of me and he will help me no matter what. He's always trying to do things with me - all he can do is support me.'

Struggling to hold back her tears, Stacey continued: 'I don't condone it in any way and I think it's important that people know that. I don't want people to think it's OK or that I think it's OK.'

Asked what else she is doing to quit the cigarettes, Stacey said she was using electric cigarettes and considering hypnotherapy, at which point Phillip suggested she might want to talk to the show's Dr Chris about other ways she may be able to kick the habit.

Struggling: The 22-year-old singer looked upset and in her own world as she arrived back home

The former X Factor singer rang in to Loose Women to speak about the pictures on the show today, and said that while she wasn't trying to defend her actions, she felt some of the criticism she received was a 'little harsh'.

She said: 'All of the responses are something that I deserve. I don’t for one minute think I can sit here and say it is ok – so I can accept that kind of criticism and although it’s not nice to hear I know that its true the health risks and maybe that will give me more power to stop it and nip it in the bud.

'There’s ups and downs to people being critical because it makes you think oh my God, I really must sort this out and you feel even more guilty than you already do because don’t get me wrong I felt guilty before all of this came out.

'But there is a little a bit of you that thinks I love my children with all my heart so some of the comments are a little bit harsh.'

Sneaky puff: Seven months pregnant Stacey was spotted smoking down an alley way, but says the criticism she has received is a 'little harsh'

Stacey's admission came as she was seen outside her home this morning looking upset and dishevelled as she struggles to cope with the controversy she has caused with the shots.

And Stacey, whose second baby is due on 7th May, continued: 'It's absolutely devastating not just because I saw the pictures in the paper – its something I’m not proud of and I’m really, really struggling with in general.

'It’s not just because everyone knows now. Its something that I don’t want to do and that I’m not happy doing so it’s horrible.'

Coming clean: Stacey rang in to the Loose Women show today to explain the shots

Stacey also said she had been trying to give up during her pregnancy, adding: 'It’s a horrible habit and I care more about my children than anything in the whole wide world so anything I can do to give up means more to me than anything else or what anyone thinks.'

Stacey, Foxy Bingo's mum of the year, had been in the middle of a photo shoot in Fulham, south west London, when she slipped outside for a break and was seen puffing away on a cigarette.

The chatterbox queen has four-year-old Zachary, with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox, while her latest addition to the family will be with fiancé Aaron Barham.

Explaining the reason for axeing Stacey as their Celebrity Mum of the Year, a statement from Foxy Bingo read: 'Following stories in the newspapers in recent days, Foxy Bingo has taken the decision to stand Stacey down from her position as judge on Foxy Mum and from the voting shortlist for Foxy Bingo Celebrity Mum of the Year 2012, the winner of which will be announced next week.

'Stacey has apologised to the people at Foxy Bingo and is sorry and embarrassed by her actions. We understand Stacey is doing everything she can to stop smoking and in recent times has cut back dramatically. She's naturally disappointed but accepts Foxy Bingo's decision.'

Stars still in the running for the title include Natasha Giggs, Peaches Geldof and Katie Price.

'I only have a few cigs a day': Seven months pregnant Stacey Solomon caught out smoking four times in two hours

By J J Anisiobi

Sneaky puff: Seven months pregnant Stacey Solomon was spotted smoking down an alley way

Seven months pregnant Stacey Solomon was caught smoking four cigarettes in two hours as she stood in an alley way clutching her baby bump.

The 22-year-old reportedly claimed that although she was embarrassed at being caught out, her doctor told her that it was OK to smoke.

The former X Factor contestant and Foxy Bingo's mum of the year was in the middle of a photo shoot in Fulham, south west London, when she slipped outside for a break and was seen puffing away on the cancer causing sticks.

She told The People newspaper: I know it doesn't look good but I only have a few cigs a day.'

The face of frozen food store Iceland also said that she had not let her fans down and wanted to quit in the future.

The mother-of-one claimed that her doctor said it would be 'more stressful' on her body if she gave up altogether.

Feeling stressed: Stacey was once voted Foxy Bingo's mum of the year

Her publicist Max Clifford told the Mail Online: 'Stacey has been smoking one or two cigarettes a day but she is desperately trying to quit and she is very embarrassed about it all.

'She's going to be trying electronic cigarettes and she knows it's bad but the stress of having a baby and all her work commitments have been difficult.'

Bad habit: Stacey, picture earlier this week, said that she smokes up to six cigarettes per day

The chatterbox queen has four-year-old Zachary, with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox, while her latest addition to the family will be with fiancé Aaron Barham.

When asked if she was enjoying her pregnancy, the star told New! magazine: 'Not at all. The novelty wears off after a few months. I can’t wait to be a normal size again – and eat prawns.

Expecting: Aaron Barham, pictured in 2011, is engaged to Stacey and is a father-to-be

'I think I have [gained weight] but everyone keeps giving me that line "Oh, you look so small". I’m like, "No, I look huge!". As soon as I find out I’m pregnant, my hips always widen.'

She said she was probably a size 12 and was a size eight when she fell pregnant.

But she added that she wouldn't be in a rush to lose her baby weight.

'I’m not one of these people who believes in leaving the hospital and being a size zero because I won’t. I’ll be this size for a few months. Hopefully, I won’t eat as much as I won’t be feeding me and a baby.'
